Located in the trendy hub of the Northern Quarter, this is a beer lover’s haven with a twist. The interior is homely and welcoming with contemporary touches that keep the bar fresh. Café style tables litter the bar area with jazz, blues and funk music filling the air, Port St. Beer House has a cool edge to it. Upstairs the saloon bar area has some larger tables but still maintains a clean and fresh look that belies the craft beer stereotypes.
The massive beer menu is the main attraction at Port St. Beer House with beers coming from the United States coupled with more traditional offerings from Belgium and Germany, but this doesn’t do it any justice. So whether you like a malty dark beer, or something a little fruitier, the menu will doubtless provide what you seek.
Port St. Beer House attracts a more beer-focused crowd, as can be expected but the audible buzz from drinkers is chilled and happily unobtrusive. The music all adds to the flavour of the venue and makes it perfect for a few beers with friends after work, or as a meeting place to catch up.
